LEAP, the Leadership, Experience and Adventure Program, is a two-week course for youth ages 15 and 16. LEAP participants live, learn, work, and play together, forming a close-knit group within the larger community of Sorrento Centre. LEAP fosters personal, spiritual, and professional growth in leadership skills and work experience. Participants will be involved in a variety of fresh, exciting spiritual practices and engaging workshops and activities.
Leadership will be a collaborative team including the Reverend David Taylor, Sorrento Centre Associate Mark Hoath along with Sorrento Centre’s child and youth program coordinator, Tammy Gibbs. The LEAP program will incorporate a variety of workshops looking at post-pandemic thinking, growth mindset, leadership, spiritual practice, connecting with a church or Christian community along with some practical leadership and work experience, free time, a camp out and, of course, the multiple options of Sorrento Centre’s activities!
LEAP includes a mid-program camping retreat off site, as well as daily free time opportunities to relax and to enjoy beautiful Sorrento Centre. While intensive and challenging, it's also a lot of fun, and a potentially life-changing experience.
Space is limited to a maximum of ten (10) participants. Early registration advised.
