Planning for the re-opening of our beloved Centre!

We aspire to be a gathering place for all... a place of abundance and belonging...

The Sorrento Centre is preparing to welcome small groups back to our 24-acre main campus and 8-acre natural farm for Eight Weeks of Summer starting on Monday, July 6. You are invited to a new summer experience that will nurture and nourish your body, engage and enliven your mind, and heal and honour your spirit. With more intimate gatherings, individually prepared meals, safe cleaning and distancing procedures, creative art, music and worship opportunities, it will be a summer to heal, relax, reconnect and feel alive in God’s creation. Our summer weeks run from Monday afternoon to Saturday morning (one day shorter than previous years) to allow for enhanced cleaning and sanitizing protocols.

The inspiring Kevin Zakresky will be our musician-in-residence for July and August. There will be no big courses (due to COVID-19 restrictions), but our 24-acre main campus and 8-acre natural farm offer plenty of space for nourishing and engaging small activities. “Taster” events, farm visits, Indigenous storytelling, music (no singing but plenty of joyous noisemaking) and worship, along with time on the shores of the Shuswap. New this year: we are joining with our friends in the United Church to bring Wild Church to our beloved Centre from July 27 to Aug 1, and again from Aug. 24 to 29.

We are proudly Anglican in tradition, ecumenical and interfaith in our programming. We are generous and inclusive in our welcome and hospitality. We aspire to be a holy place of transformation for learning, healing and belonging. You will find regular and lively updates on the life and work of the Centre, as well as our vision and values, on our Facebook page.
